Leaves turning black on gold dust croton

Question
I currently have 2 4 foot gold dust crotons that I have had for almost a year. They are in 14 inch pots and I had then against a fence on the east side of my home. I started to notice that the leaves where turning black and dry as if they had been burned. I cut back the black leaves and moved the plants under the edge of my poarch so they only get direct morning sun. They are still doing the same thing. Please help me save my big beautiful plants.

Answer
Tina,

Crotons like full sun. Otherwise how often do you water them? It sounds like it could be too much water or too cool temperatures. Are you in a windy location or do the temperatures drop a lot at night.  Let me know how often you water and where you live and I will try to give you more suggestions.
