HI;

I have a lilac bush that is in a large plastic pot. It bloomed great this spring. However, I don't know how to protect it during the winter. We live in a apartment with a balcony. Should l leave it outside or bring the bush in. Help

I am not sure I can offer much assistance.  I actually answer questions on HOUSE PLANTS, and I specialize in African Violets.  A lilac bush is more of a shrub.  I, myself have never grown a lilac, but I would assume it cannot be kept outdoors during winter, unless you live in a much warmer climate.  To be completely fair to you, I suggest you refer your question to an expert in the GARDENING section, relating to shrubs.  There are some on the AllExperts website.  And, please tell the expert which zone you live in.  If you don't know, just give them your state.  That info will help tremendously.  Good luck.
