Question
I have what I have been told is a pineapple palm. I have had it two years now.  I have had it send new shoots out twice now only to have them die.  It is in a window with some morning direct light but not afternoon.  I water once a week.  I have not done much else.  Should I be watering it on the middle cone?  The original fronds are ok.  Thank you for your help with this.  Debbie

It should be getting more sun, it would like sun all day long. It should not be watered until it is very dry. The following site has more info:
