cinnamomum kotoense yellow leaves

Question
My Canela tree's leaves are starting to turn yellow. It is close to a window in the corner so it does not get direct sunlight. I haven't repotted it and does have drainage holes. I have been watering it once a week. It is in a 9" pot and is approx 4" tall.

Answer
Hi Malinda,

I suggest that you move it out of the corner so that it gets some direct sun and very bright indirect sun for the rest of each day. It is good that you did not repot it. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out in between thorough waterings.

Do not consider repotting it at this time. Allow it to adapt to its new environment. If it gets to the point where it needs water more than twice per week, then you can consider moving it to a 10" pot.
