my beautiful plant

Question
I recently recieved a huge elephant ear like plant. I repotted it and have been
watering it regularly. I hung it in our sun room but one of the giant leaves has
developed this black spreading, also the smaller new leaves are all turning
yellow and wilting. What should I do?

Answer
Hi Eryl,

Unfortunately, I need more specific information than you have provided to be able to help you.

There are many plants with large leaves that people think look like elephant ears and these plants have different requirements. So I need a specific ID of your plant. You can post photos here if you want help with identifying it.

I don't know what you mean by "black spreading."

It is never a good idea to repot a new plant and I suspect that is probably a major part of the problem you are having.

I need a precise description of the light - how far from the nearest uncovered window and which direction does that window face.

What do you mean by watering "regularly?"

I look forward to your reply so I can help you.

Regards,
Will Creed
