issues with my money tree

Question
Hello,
I am having some problems with my money tree that i have had for a little over a year.  It still has new growth but the leaves on the lower tiers are changing colors and eventually fall off.
But over the last 1-2 months the leaves start to get brown and a little dry at the tips.  Not all of the tops started to get brown, only some.  Then some of the leaves started to turn yellowish and fade a little.  If you touched those leaves, they would fall off easily.
I read a little about this problem called root rot but i dont think it was that. We also tried to put this extra dish under the top where water could drain so it was not sitting in the bottom of the pot.  I have moved the tree only once to a bigger pot and had no problems with that.  It gets enough water, could it be getting too much?  We also feed it with a little miracle grow.  It gets a good amt of sunlight. I also have pictures and can email them to you. Please advise. Thanks in advance

Answer
Sean,

Yes, it can be getting too much water and it sounds like that could be the problem. How often do you water it and how much water do you give it? Send the pictures to [email protected]. How large is the pot it is in?  Show me in a picture what you are talking about when you said, "We also tried to put this extra dish under the top where water could drain so it was not sitting in the bottom of the pot."

By the way too much water will cause root rot but first it just causes yellow leaves and spots on leaves. I think you cure may be less water, more sun and some fertilizer. Send pictures and I can offer more advice.
