My Bosss Peace Lilly keeps wilting

Question
My Boss's Peace Lilly from his dad's funeral keeps wilting, some of the plant has died and we have pruned it back; the plant is in a large pot and I am thinking that it needs to be repotted in a smaller pot?  I water it once a week.  The plant is on the floor right by a air vent and behind a curtain.  Should I put the plant on a table so that it can get some natural light?  The plant is located on the north side of his office. Please help, I do not have a green thumb so any advice will be helpful.

Answer
It is a plant that thrives on sunlight so that is one of the problems, and should get 4 hours or more of direct sunlight from a south window. You should also keep moist when growing and dry when dormant or when not growing, but water occasionally. The plant could also be going dormant and you should remove old leafs and if you wish the flower. This will not hurt it, and it would still be alive. When you re-potted it did you re-pot it so that the top of the bulb was above the soil? It should also be re-potted every 3-4 years. The top of the bulb is supposed to be above the soil when re-potting, I am guessing it is either dormant and if it is the dead leafs should be cut and the flower is optional. It could also be lack of sunlight, it does not do well it artificial light, if you need anything else just ask me a follow up question. Also, don't forget to rate me! :D
Best Wishes,
Samuel
