Goldfish Plants

Question
I have had a Goldfish plant for about six months now.  It seemed to be doing well.  Recently, the leaves, which were green, started falling off.  Then, I noticed that the stems started turning brown beginning at the soil and gradually the entire stem will die.  I mist it twice a week and water every 15 days or so using distilled water.  It was near a window with filtered light.  I recently moved it away from the window fearing it was getting too cold sitting next to the window.  Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.  Thank You!

Answer
Ally,

The symptoms sound like it is dying from being too wet. Does the container it is in have a drain hole and a drain tray under it? If it does not that is your problem. If it does is the soil drying out well in the fifteen days between waterings? Let me know and I will try to help you more.
