What kind of plant is this? Can it regrow?

Question
My fiance brought me home a little green plant in a coffee cup (bought it at kroger), about a year ago.  I never really knew how to care for it, if it needed light, how much water, etc.  Well a year later, and my poor plant died, but the roots are still quite alive.  I cut off the dead part (as you can see in the picture) and I now have 2 2" stems with roots that are active.  I dont know what to do with this, but I dont want to throw it away, and would love to know what kind of plant it is, that way I can give it proper TLC.

Answer
Hi Angel,
I am sorry but the picture did not get sent with your question so I can not identify it for you. Some plants will regrow from just bare stems but most will not. Since we don't know if yours is one that will regrow or not, the best you can do it put it in a place where it will get bright, little direct sunlight and water it properly.

Good luck

I hope this helps. If you have any questions or need additional information please don't hesitate to ask.
     Thanks
