What kind of plant is this???

Question
QUESTION: I am having a hard time finding out what kind of plant this is, and how to properly take care of it. It grows with long almost viney stems. The leaves are very curly, the leaves and stems are a bright green. Right now, I have it on the south window, with medium light. I am still fertilizing it. It is just now starting to have some new sprouts come out. I have only changed my watering with this plant. It has always been on the south window. I have well water. I have had it for a couple of months now, the majority of the plant has wilted, and I have trimmed it up.

ANSWER: Rochelle,

It is a hoya carnosa, krinkle kurl also known as Hindu Rope Plant. It needs very bright light and watered lightly then allowed to dry out before being watered again. It should never be allowed to sit in a drain tray full of standing water. It is a slow growing blooming plant. Keep drapes and blinds open on windows near it.  Do not overwater it or the roots will rot. It should be treated like a desert cactus. If you have more questions feel free to write again. Good luck.

My Plant
QUESTION: Hello, actually, I looked at the pictures of the hoya carnosa, and it doesn't look like my plant. And even when I had a full plant, it never bloomed. The leaves and stems are bright green and curl, but they curl under.

Answer
Rochelle,

After looking at your picture I am certain it is a Hoya but it has not been getting enough sun and it has been getting too much fertilizer and water. If you cut back on water and fertilizer and increase the amount of sun it glgets I think you wiil find it soon looking much better. Good luck.
