Anthurium as a hydroponic?

Question
I am trying to pick a flowering plant that I can put in a vase with water for a betta bowl. My daughter and I really like the anthurium, but am not familiar with it at all. From what I am reading it is not clear if I can maintain this plant in a hydroponic environment, and how I would obtain one grown for that purpose, or can I just buy one and transfer to the vase? Thank for your advice!

Lori

Answer
Lori,

Anthuriums need to dry out between watering so they are not a good idea. Peace lilies or Chinese Evergreens work in beta vases.

I would like to ask you first to review the following site before you go shopping.

If you still want to go ahead here are good instructions:

http://www.foundus.com/betta/betta.htm

But here also are instructions for a better set up for a beta fish.

Good luck with your project.
