Antibiotic diarrhea

Question
Dear Dr. Wright,
I wrote to you a week ago and you gave me some advice and I had a visit with my dr. and he said it was right on the mark. Now I would like to ask you this, I have one movement a day and it is watery and I want to know what I can do to get it more normal. I was on antibiotics for over a month but I have been off of them 5 months. Should this be taking this long? My dr. says it takes time for the good bacteria to get to the colon. What do you think? I introduced fiber into my diet but so far nothing changed. Also I am still on the flora plus capsules. Thank you
What you do is a blessing. Mary

P.S. I am taking the charcoal and wonder if Psyllium would be worth a try.I will do what you advise,

Answer
Mary,
Yes try the psyllium.  You should definitely be getting back to normal by now.  I'd have to see a full dietary log of a week or more to determine if there is something in your diet causing this, but my feeling is that if you take the psyllium caps, as directed on the bottle, and go off of dairy foods til you get this cleared up that should do the trick.  Dairy is bad for producing mucus, and when your body is out of balance is a major cause of watery stools. Do that for a week and see if it helps or not, and if not let me know and we'll go from there :)
