Use 10-10-10 fertilizer at the rate of 1 lb per inch of trunk diameter scattered around the tree under the foliage and water in good. If you wait just before a good rain it works well. You can do this now and again in the Fall. Do not use a lawn product called Weed and Feed-it contains a herbicide that can damage or kill trees.
