Question
I purchased the Miranda in Fl.I came home an had it transplanted at a local nursery ..I don't think that they used the right soil mixture ..my pitchers are drying up an everytime it gets a new shoot they seem to be turing brown ..I'm afraid that I'm not going to produce any babies...is there somewhere on the internet that I can buy the soil mixture.? I need help before these die on me...Oh I hope not

Answer
Hi Judy,

You can visit our website or most other carnivorous plant specialty nursery for Nepenthes mix.  In general, Nepenthes are not that fussy about their soil as long as it doesn't contain excessive fertilizer.  Since you didn't mention how you were growing the plant, your cultural conditions could be a factor also.  Visit our caresheet pages for more information on growing Nepenthes and you can also order soil there if needed.  http://www.cobraplant.com/caresheets  After reading the care information, and accessing if you need to make some changes, visit us back here at Allexperts if you have further questions.

Good Growing!
