Question
Hi,
As you know, I have plans to build a bog. Does it really matter what type of sand I use. I was hoping I could just stick to plain yellow sand often used in construction. If I should use some other type what should I use and where could I possibly find it in bulk (if that's possible)?

Hi Daniel,

The safest sand to use is children's play sand found at most hardware and big box stores.   This is a good clean washed sand.  Stay away from the construction sand since you don't know about the source of it.  It commonly contains contaminants that could harm your plants.  I found this out the hard way once.
