Pinguclia

Question
Hello Jeff or Jacob!

I purchased your two DVDs and saw your care guide about a Pinguclia.  For sunlight since there close to the ground they dont get direct sunlight, so you placed them down by other plants.  I have enough to surrond the plant but I was wondering how a P. agnata would grow in Florida there zone is 10 but once Florida warms up out of it's crazy 20F...  I was soon going to order my plants so I was wondering how it would do ^_^

Answer
Hi Justin,

Considering all the butterworts in the new video are from Mexico, which is at the same latitude as Florida, they'll do fine there.  As long as your providing some partial shade from direct summer sun, they'll be happy.  Growth will slow some during the heat of the summer, but P. agnata is a good tough plant.  The only one of the Mexican butterworts we grow I would avoid for climates with hot summer nights would be P. moctezumae.  It seems to suffer hear in Oregon when we get hot spells where it doesn't cool at night.

Good Growing!
