Drosera Capensis Flower Stalk

Question
Hello

I was wondering when I should cut the flower
stalk off my Drosera Capensis. The stalk is
on it's last flower and I really want to get the
full use out of the seeds and I couldn't find a
part in the your videos of saying when to cut
the stalks off after the last flower.

Thanks Justin

Answer
Hi Justin,

Simply wait until the seedpods turn brown and dry.  They will crack open slightly.  By that time the stalk will be brown also, so at that point you can cut it off.  Tap the stalk and pods over a white piece of paper and the seeds will come falling out.  Don't cut the stalk while it is still green, or the seed pods won't be fully ripe yet, and may not finish developing.

Good Growing!
