QuestionI have not been able to find the brands of peat moss bales in my area that I have used in the past and trusted. The only brand I can find is Fafard 3.0 Cu. Ft. Majestic Earth Peat Moss sold at Lowes. Do you have any information on this brand and is safe to use on carnivorous plants? Thanks!
AnswerI have never used Fafard brand, but if the bag or bale indicates that it is composed entirely of sphagnum peat moss, with no additives, then it is very probably fine to use. I did look at Fafard's website, and they do make quite a few different potting mixes and soil amendment combinations, so I would just try to make sure that what you are considering to buy is composed of only sphagnum peat moss with no additives.
