dead heading/cutting back (annuals)

Question
I am growing Argyranthemum Neptune in pots along with other annuals.  Most of the flowers have dried up. Do I dead head them or cut them down? If they need cutting how far down should I cut?  Also, I'm growing Heliotrope, once the bloom has dried up how far down should I cut them back?  Hope you can help. Thanks

B

Answer
Argyranthemum
Simply pinch off the dead/withered flowers. Cut back to just above a set of leaves.

Heliotrope
Removing fading blooms by pinching a few inches below the flower. If you prefer bushier plants, you can pinch them lower if you like (it will not hurt the plant). Just pinch above a set of leaves.
