transfering annuals inside for the winter

Question
can i dig up my spikes (espigas) and keep them inside in a big pot for the winter

Answer
Yes!  These plants over-winter beautifully in front of a sunny window. Dig them now and pot them up - individual pots would be better in that they won't get tangled roots that will then be damaged when you separate them next year.  Water well once potted and then only water when the soil is getting dry - no fertilizer until the end of February, because the plants will be resting during the months when there is less sunlight.

Enjoy!
