Bamboo Mites

Question
Hi Kathy,
I have several large clumps of 'Fish Pole' (multi-plex?)Bamboo on the west side of my yard. The bamboo borders a large wooded lot. I noticed a white powdery substance on some of the culms and upon further inspection found little pink bugs between the culm a leave. I cut one off and the white stuff seems to be inside the bamboo. (I burned the shoots that I cut off.) I did a little research and have identified it as 'mites' but I haven't found anything to tell me exactly what to use to get rid of this. The bamboo is about three years old and has finally gotten to an impressive height and thickness. Cutting it all down (which was one suggestion that I came across) would absolutely kill me!
What do you suggest I do to kill these little suckers?
Thanks,
June

Answer
Hi June , I would seriously try Atomic Grow which is organic and helps to bring the plants into the best health.  Bugs go to plants that are not healthy.  I have used it on figs, no rust, citrus, no leaf minor, white fly gone, hibiscus mealy bugs gone, and  even fungus.  kathy
