grey fungus


Question
i have a philodendron sagittfolium it produces a red color fruit looks like a canoe but some of the rot and fall off plant today I cut a sick one up and there is a grey fungus growing on the inside of the(I suppose you call it the stamen) it is white when the flower blooms. any ideas the plant is positively beautiful is in front of large windows i have a celing fan I use and I wait to
water it until I think it going to dry up. I check it with a moisture probe I love it but I am afraid I am going to loose it.

Hi Carolyn, Happy Holidays...Sounds like a little too much water for one and the fungus can be treated with Atomic Grow, which is organic and can be used in the house on all your plants.  Also, if you have a dish under your plant you must remove the water after 15 minutes which will cause root rot if you do not.  After 15 min. the plant has had all it needs to drink.  kathy
