House plant spots

Question
Hello, I have a indoor corn plant (not Yucca) that was moved about 5 feet to the left of the direct light (which comes through the front room window)for the summer sun because of two reasons.  1. They were sitting on my only eating table and 2. I thought that they might get way too much direct sun in the summer.  So I moved them like I said about 5 feet (to sit on top of my entertainment center) to the right which is still in front of the same window but along the wall more.  I hope this all makes sense.  Any ways, One of them is growing new shoots (for the first time) and the other is too but is also is getting these lightly yellowish round spots in the leaves. I'll try to describe them a little better here: when the room light or sun light is shinning enough in the room you can notice these yellowing round spots.  I'm thinking they are from over watering, and if so how do I fix my poor baby?  What can I do to stop these spots from turning into brown spots which then turn into an eye sore and is probably not healthy for the plant to have it's leaves full of holes.  Smile.  So I'm in a quandary as to what I've done to her, and how to not do it again.  I water both of them the same amount at the same time and one has no spots.  I've rearranged the front room so that they can now sit on the floor in front of the window about 3 to 5 feet from the window itself.  Thanks for listening to me rattle on.  I just love my plants.  Yes they get wiped down, talked to, and I just need to figure out the watering thing.  Maybe the roots are coming out the bottom?  Then what?  Transplant?  Most people say don't transplant them, but if I choose to do it, what is the best time of year to do so?

Answer
Hi Michele:
Can you send me a photo of a leaf with these spots? This will give me a better idea as to what they look like.  Try to get as close as you can and still get a sharp image.  Be sure to review your image on your computer to be sure it is in focus before you attach and send.

A few other questions:
(1) Have any sprays/chemicals been used on or in the vicinity of the leaves?

(2) Are the spots on the old or new leaves and are they mostly on the top or bottom or on one side of the plant? How big are the spots (diameter)?

(3) Is the pot full of roots? You may gently need to lift out of the pot to see if the roots are wound up tightly in a ball.
