pecan tree

Question
I have three pecans trees in my yard, and every one of them has rotten pecans, do you have any solutions to how i can have good pecans.

Answer
Dianne:

Pecan trees are notorious for producing great for a few years then have an off year or two. Not disease or insect, just genetic. How was the crop last year and the year before?

If the nuts are filled with water or dry and shriveled, this is usually related to the weather/rainfall from the previous season. How do the nuts appear on the inside?

Diseasewise, Pecan Scab is probably the most common disease in many areas.  This fungus disease produces spots on the leaves and shucks. Use "Google" to take a look at scab.

You may wish to have your soil tested for nutrients so it can perform the best it can.
