Answer
Dear Bill:

My favorite way to control weeds is using the commercial product "Preen".  Checkout the products they offer on the website:

Here's a homemade recipe for an organic weed killer:

                      Organic Weed Killer

Ingredients

1 quart of boiling water
5 tsp. vinegar
6 tsp. salt (regular table salt)
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. dishwasher (machine) detergent (powder is better than liquid, but liquid will work

Mix all together and pour into a spray bottle.

Spray the weeds and avoid spraying on the flowers.  Twice weekly should suffice for controlling unwanted weeds.

Sincerely,

Mack Jean
