Weeds in Zoysia Z-52

Question
Can you suggest where I might purchase Monument either at a store or online?  I have attempted to locate it, but I have been unsuccessful.  Thank you for your assistance.    -------------------------    Followup To    Question -   I live right outside Birmingham, AL and I have Zoysia Z-52 grass.  There are a few places where I am fighting nut grass and dallas grass.  What do you recommend I need to do to get rid of this?  My lawn has been down for 3 years and now is well established.    Also, do you have a calendar that gives recommendations as to what to put down on my lawn each month throughout the year?  I am currently using Fertilome products, however I am open to suggestions.  Thank you for your assistance.    Answer -   Barbara,     As far as weed contol is concerened I would suggest a product called Monument.  It is more exspensive than what you may want to pay but is much more effective than anything you can buy from the superstores.  It is one of the only product labled for both Dallisgrass and Nutsedge, and will not kill Zoysiagrass.    As far as fertility is concerend.  I am not familair with fertilome products.  Most are just brand names that all contain the same ingredients.  As a general rull of thumb you should apply .5 - 1.0 lbs of N per 1000 square feet per active month of growth.  For Zoysiagrass in AL, that should be around 6 months out of the year.  Everything else is sucha as hebicides and fungicides should be done on an as needed basis.  Even things like grubcontrol may not be needed every year.      Hope this helps.  Happy Growing.    Turfnut2

Answer
Try looking for a Helena Chemical Company, Lesco, Southern Ag., or a Southern States location.  Either one of these companies should be able to help you and I would bet that out of the ones I listed one of them has a location in or near Birmingham, AL.  You can also do a google search for monument herbicide and find the manufacturers site where they will likely have a link to 'find a distributor near you'.  Good Luck.
