Answer
Scott's weed-and-feed products need to be applied on wet grass (weeds) when the weeds are actively growing. Typically, using weed and feed in april is too early to have any effect. Best result is had in late may or early september, with fall being best result. In spring the weeds are bussy growing top growth, whereas in fall the weeds will translocate energy from the leaves to the roots.

I recommend you pickup a bottle of ORTHO'S WEED-BE-GON (there are several versions so get the one that says, regular, or where dandelion is mentioned on the lable). Spray the weeds in spring and fall (not summer). A few sprays to thoroughly covering the leaves is all you need. do not overdo it or it can affect grass. Never use when daytime temperatures are above 80F or when grass is draught stressed.

You can use Scott's weed-and-feed again in fall (september).

You can use a product like TRIMEC against the chickweed but it has likely set seeds already. Next spring, in early april, put down SCOTT'S TURFBUILDER WITH HALTS .. it should help against grabgrass and chickeweeds.
