spiders

Question
I would like to know what herbs will keep spiders out of my house?

Answer
The herbs in use inside are roaemary, and lavender.
I have read that basil also repels spiders.
I put a piece of rosemary about and inch long on each pantry and cabinet shelf, and in the closet corners etc, and a piece a couple or 3 inches long under each appliance.
anyplace roaches can hide or come in.
I but cedar oil in the health food store, and paint a small line of it along the clothes poles and baseboards in the closets. A tiny bottle of about.05 ounce is $5.oo and up, but that amount lasts me about a year, as I only do that in my closets about twice a year, and i treat 6 closets with it.
I also toss pieces of lavender in the closets, and under my beds etc.
Lavender is an aroma that promotes relaxation and a good night's sleep.
Wizard makes a lavender scented room spray, and some of that sprayed in your bedroom st bedtime helps you sleep restfully.
I use fresh basil in cooking a lot. That may put enough of the scent of it in the house to do., but you could also add a piece of it to the rosemary.
Lavender also repels houseflies. I have a container of it at each entrance to help keep out flies that come in when the doors are open.
If you have trouble with neighborhood cats using your flower beds or planters for their litter box, toss chopped lemon peels in them, and cats will stay out.
Write anytime I can be of help.
