Question
What is brone or broan grass?  Is it another name for crabgrass?  How do I control or get rid of?  I live in northwest Iowa.  Thank You

I assume that you have a winter grass lawn, fescue, bluegrass or like.

Brome grass, bromus sp., is an annual.  You can use Fusilade II, carefully, to remove it from your lawn.  The chief inhibitor will be careful mowing to reduce seed production and a pre-emergent next spring to discourage weed seed germination.

For cultural solution, thicken your stand of turf with overseeding, proper fertilization and correct mowing height and frequency.
