The Fastest Lawn

Question
QUESTION: Hello!
What is the shortest amount of time you can grow a lawn on approximately 20X20 quad and what lawn would it be?
Thanks!=)

ANSWER: That depends on where you live.  I need to know if you are growing Cool Season Grass or Warm Season Grass -- and I can give you the right answer if you give me your zipcode.  That way I'll be able to determine the temps of your Soil and air, your USDA Zone and what kind of Grass will establish a Lawn the fastest.

Also: Must we assume you want to plant this Seed now, or in the Spring?

And may we assume you have LOTS of Sun?  (The more, the better; no Sun, no Grass I'm afraid.)

Germination rates vary -- mainly according to Seed type, Soil temp, age of Seed and how careful you are about watering.  rsvp,

QUESTION: It's in Weston (near Boston), zip code 02493. not too sunny=), but alright
and i'm thinking about about next year.

Answer
'Not too Sunny' -- I'm going to push here for a blend of Rye and very fancy Bluegrass that will set you back.

The Rye will sprout and cover your yard with verdant Green blades, practically overnight.  The fancy Bluegrass -- 'SupraNova' Supina Bluegrass, a recent variety in that Royal Green Grass we all know love and -- has it made in the Shade as long as you take care of it.  Seedland calls it 'the most resistant, shade tolerant and aggressive cool season turfgrass on the market.'

If your local codes allow it, you can burn the standing vegetation and start with the perfect, chemical free plot in the blink of an eye.  If not, more elbow grease will be needed to make this a suitable place for Grass to grow.

A Soil test from the University of Mass will give you all the data on what your Soil is missing and what it is NOT missing:

After all, if you HAVE all the Phosphorus you need, why would you want to buy more?

Plus you need to know the pH of your Soil to grow Supina, the gold standard of Grass.  Which you can pick up online at www.seedland.com.
