Retaining wall

Hi Mark, we are building a retaining wall going the length of our driveway and it will be made of 6x6 pressure treated lumber. It is 2 ft tall at its highest point, and about 2.5 car lengths long. My question is, does the retaining wall this tall need deadman's built in, and if so, how many is ideal?

Hello,

Railroad ties are relatively light compared to stone or concrete,so deadmen would be in order. Spacing of 8 feet apart should be adequate.
