There are usually wholesale dealerships for irrigation supplies in most metropolitan areas who sell to contractors and other larger accounts.  For instance, in the western US, there is Ewing Irrigation, who I use as a supplier.  John Deere Landscapes has been expanding into a lot of markets across the country.  I suggest checking the Yellow Pages for irrigation suppliers in your area.
