QuestionI have a STA-Rite (Model SLE-1), Last week after watering the grass I turned it off, and the next morning there was a puddle of water under the pump. Now the motor runs constantly with out stopping but it is not pumping any water. The pressure reads about 30 psi.

It sound as if the pump lost prime. Have you check for water in the pump? If it is operating by a pressure switch without water for prime, it would run constantly.
The puddle under it is a mystery. Could the suction line have a small leak? This would cause the symptoms you describe. i would refill the pump with water and run it for a few minutes. Then shut it off and look for any leaks, particularly on the suction side.
