Question Hi Jeff, hope you can help. I have a shallow well pump that is giving me fit's. If you could tell me how to remove it from inside the casing that would be a great start. This particular pump is separate from the buried pressure tank. So the water line is at the bottom of the pump, therefore I need to check it to see if the it is working properly. I have intermittent pressure problems, but do not feel it is the pressure tank alone.

AnswerI really cant advice you on this proceedure, because I have no way of knowing your particular setup. I do know that in one home I lived in I had to pull the pump once, and I had to unbolt it from the wellhead casing, and then just physically lift the pump and carry it away from the well with the suction line attached.
