What could be the problem ?? and what is the solution??
I have a Rain bird system.

Thank you.

Answer
Hey web, I would suspect that the problem lies in either the wire running from the controller to the automatic valve, or the automatic valve. First thing to check would be the continuity in the wire. With a volt/ohm meter, and the system running, touch the negative lead from the meter to the C(common) terminal on the controller, and the positive lead on the station running (lets say #1) the #1 terminal. It should read between 22 to 26 volts. If you're getting a good reading at the controller, then take the volt/ohm meter to the valve # 1, and check the wires going into the solenoid on valve # 1. Again negative lead on the common wire, and the positive lead on the hot wire. See what reading you're getting. If the reading is good, then the valve probably needs to be rebuilt, or a new solenoid installed. If the voltage is bad at the wires, then the wire is probably bad. I hope this helps and let me know if I can be of anymore help. Thanks and have a great day.
