Richdel Watering system

Question
Hi, I have a Richdel garden sprinkler system, model number: 446PR50HZ. It
was disconnected by previous owner and I am now trying to connect it up
again. The problem is this. There are 6 zones + pump and common. I have
7 wires, White, Brown, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red and Black. I don't know which
wire goes where. Can you help?

Chris

Answer
If the common wire is known, hook it up to the common terminal on the controller.  If not known, look at the valves to see which color wire has been connected to every valve---that would be the common.  The other wires really do not matter as to order.  You can connect them to any terminal you want.  However if you wish to have some sequence to your watering, once you power up the controller, turn on station 1 manually, and go though the wires noting the location of each station.  All you need to do is touch them one at a time to the terminal 1 for a few seconds to activate the valve.  Then you can wire the stations in the order you choose.
