Hardie HHA-11272 Sprinker Controller

Question
I have a Hardie HHA-11272 Sprinker Controller.  None of the sprinkers will come on.  I have removed the battery from the controller and the display still works, so apparently there is power to the unit.  All of the time and date settings are correct.  There is good water pressure to the system.  Any idea as to why the system won't come on?

Answer
Hey Dave, first thing I would check, is if the controller is working properly. To do this, turn a station on manually(let say #1), and in the back of the controller you will see a terminal strip. With a volt/ohm meter touch the negative lead to the C(common) terminal and the positive lead to the #1 terminal. I the controller is working correctly, you should get a reading of between 22 to 26 volts. If the controller is working okay and you have water to the valves and you are still not getting it to work, then you probably need to trace your wires and see if something is cut, or you have a bad connection. First place to check is in the controller on the terminal strip, and the second place to check would be your connections at the valve solenoids. Try these things first and let me know what you find out. Good luck and have a great day.
