Question
What is a plant or tree that has leaves very similar to tamarinds but is not a tamarind?
It appears in my potting soil as if it were a weed.

A couple of possible trees species for you to consider are

Mimosa Tree, Albizia julibrissin
Black Locust, Robinia pseudoacacia

Both of the above trees could show up in potted plants as weeds. And are very similar to the Tamarind.
