identify vine on dead pine tree

Question
vine with fruit
vine with fruit
I have a vine growing all over two large dead line trees.  The vine has what appears to be a fruit on it.  I'm in Pensacola Florida.  What is the vine?  Is the fruit edible?

it is hard to tell from the picture you provided...what you show looks more like a flower before it opens than a fruit produced from a flower...plants are classified by the flowers they produce...I could not find any vining plants in your area that have a white fruit like that...many have white flowers....some are weeds...it does not look like a poison ivy type plant...I wouldn't eat it unless I was positive what the plant was...
I would recommend you take a sample of a section of the plant w/a fruit (?) on it(enclosed in a sealed plastic bag) to a local garden center...Ask them if they can ID it...I would think it is a weed vine and it killed your pine trees by smothering them...
you could also contact FL State University Agriculture Dept. to see if they know what vine plants are in your area...
Good luck,
Rick in southern NJ
