identify sub-tropical tree

Question
tree #2
tree #2

tree #1
tree #1
These trees are found in Puerto Rico, and possibly in South FL too. The leaves are similar to those of a flamboyan, but the flowers are variegated pink and near white. They grow in a more linear pattern along the branch than bunches like the flamboyan. Your asistance will be much appreciated since I'd like to purchase seedlings.

It looks as though the tree you describe is a Delonix regia...Type this into your search engine and compare your tree to it...It is a species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae, subfamily Caesalpinioideae...I can not really tell from your photos if the leaves are fern-like in appearance like this tree...They appear to be so...The trunk of the trees are also similar...Many hybrids exist of both trees (yours and the one I mentioned) so flower color can really vary...
If you live in the area where the trees are take your pictures to a local garden center (not chain store) and ask them to ID the tree...They may also be able to tell you where you can buy seedlings...
Good luck...
