What type I live in southeast New Mexico ....and how should I trim them

Hi Eric,

It looks like photinias that have some age on them. I would cut them back height wise back down to where they are full - where all that shrubby growth is concentrated. Don't worry too much about making a mistake. These are hardy shrubs and take to pruning.
