Lime seeds

Question
I have some lime seeds from some key limes I bought, they are dried and been sitting on my counter. Can I plant them? if so how do I start?

Answer
Kelly, you have to first let them completely dry out. This usually takes 3-5 days. You then need to place them in a sealed plastic bag and store them in the back of your refrigerator for 3 months. What this does is simulate the dormant period all seeds need in order to germinate. After this period, you can plant them as you would any other seed.

Good luck, and have a good weekend.

Mike
