Question
I planted a number of yellow peppers - bell and Hungarian supposedly sweet.  My bell peppers formed very nicely and then turned purple.  And the supposed sweet Hungarian is hot.  There's nothing to do about the hot peppers, but can you tell me what would cause yellow bell peppers to turn purple before they are ready to pick?  Thank you

Dear Ann,
I think we are finally reaching the "flip side" to hybrid.  I receive several questions regarding peppers this year, and mine are not growing in the usual manner either.  The organic ones are producing beautifully and quite large, but the plants from the nursery are not the same this year.
