Question
We have 15 plants and so far we have lost 3 of them because the leaves wither and the plant dies.
someone told me that it was cut worms or mole crickets.
We put some poison in the soil, which, by the way is very sandy.
This didn't seem to solve the problem.
Can you help? We live in N.E. Fl.

I suspect that you have nematodes around your roots. Does not sound like worms or you would see the leaves cut.

Regarding the poison you put in the ground not knowing what it is it could have effected the plants.

You might want to remove one plant and check the roots and see if there is an indication of white around the roots.

Excessive watering might wash the poison out. After that you would need to reapply fertilizer.
