Leaves falling off Bell Peppers (bonnie variety)

Question
Hi,

I live in Southern Ontario and this is my first year planting. I noticed that the leaves on my peppers have fallen off after becoming yellow with brown spots.  On one of the plants, the leaves have all fallen off except for two at the very top.  What do you think is causing the problem? Will the leaves come back?  What can I do to help?It is too late to plant again, but please let me know if I should return them for a refund.

Answer
Dear Sasha,
If you can return them, I would.  Sometimes plants are affected by a fungus or a mold.  Sometimes they are simply diseased.  If the problem occurred after your purchase, the place where you purchased them will probably be able to tell you what the problem is.  As far as replanting, it's getting pretty late, but a big enough plant should still produce before the growing season ends.
Kind Regards,
Kindred
