Trimming diseased squash leaves

Question
I transplanted several yellow and zucchini squash plants and within hours they and plants I had NOT transplanted had severe leaf burn. Some wilted and died, others had leaves brown and die but continue to show new growth and are otherwise healthy. Do I trim off the dead leaves at the base of the leaf or the base of the leaf stem and (2) can I trim off the burn on otherwise healthy leaves? I live in the SF Bay area and get lots of wind and sunlight.

Thank you

Answer
Jazzpianist:

It is not necessary to trim the leaves, but if they bother you go ahead and cut them off. The plant will continue to put out new leaves. If they were just planted, it would be a good idea to shade them for a couple of days until they become acclimated. Also, if it is very warm, water them every day for a few days, then taper off.
