Is the Marconi Pepper the variety that you suggest when wanting to make Perroncini? I'm having difficulty locating this particular variety of pepper.

Yes it is. Any elongated roasted pepper can be used. You can research the different varieties by reviewing some of the on-line catalogs. Marconi is in one of my catalogs from Harris Seeds. Attached is their link:

Some alternatives to Marconi are The Godfather, Corno di Toro and Carmen Hybrid. You can find these either at Burpee.com or Parkseed.com.
