soil test location

Question
Our zip code is 98662 can you suggest a local soil test location near us?? - Roger

Answer
Correct me if I'm wrong, but apparently neither Washington State nor Clark County provide University Cooperative Extension does any Soil testing, or if they do there is nothing to admit as much on their websites:

Washington State University
http://ext.wsu.edu/

Clark County:
http://clark.wsu.edu/

However, someone(s) at WSU has assembled a comprehensive schedule of related Soil services and servicers, complete with specific test subjects:

William F. Black appears to be the sole Soil specialist.  I am not familiar with this service.

This state happens to be the international headquarters of the pre-eminent Soil testers on probably the planet, the Soil Food Web lab headed by Dr Elaine Ingram in Seattle:

I would heartily recommend that organization's services except for the fact that it is incredibly expensive.  Prepare for sticker shock if you should end up there.  I think it would be cheaper to party wit Brad and Angelina than order one of these, although you can also discover things about your Soil that you have never dreamed of.  Hopefully William F. Black is within the budget of the typical homeowner.  Otherwise it would discourage people from testing their Soil.  And that can only be a bad thing, as Martha would say.

Sorry I cannot be more helpful.  If something better exists, please someone let me know.

Your tax dollars no longer at work.
