yellowing of peach leaves


Question
My two year old peach tree has all leaves turned yellow and has stooped growing tall. Please do let me know the reasons and the remedy. Thanks.

Answer
There may be several issues that come into play here. First, examine the trunk area for evidence of bark damages (wounds, holes, loose bark etc.). These things may indicate insects or disease activity.  Get a soil test done- there may be a nutritional problem. A soil test can identify any deficient nutrients. Contact your local county Agricultural Extension office for info. about the soil test and request a "house call" for someone to see the trees in person. Much more information can be gained from a visit than a written or verbal description of the symptoms. You can also visit with people at your local nursery or garden center.
