Zoysia Care

Question
You mentioned in one of your answers that putting down a slow release fertilizer, like Milorganite is only part of the answer then went on to say that slow release Nitrogen (3-1-1) is the perferct food for this grass.  My question is, should the Nitrogen be put down along with the Milorganite (or equivalent) and, if so, should it be put down at the same time.  If not, when and how often should it be put down in zone 7.  Thank you

Answer
Sorry for the confusion.  I get ahead of myself sometimes.  Milorganite is a slow release fertilizer that is not without controversy, but I think we have to compromise sometimes, and all things considered I am willing to use it as a substitute for organic materials because it is slow release and fairly Green.

I would not use a traditional old-fashioned Chemical fertilizer, Nitrogen or any other kind:

Build up your Soil instead.  Now, THAT is cutting edge.
